ESCAPE. That's what we needed. Joe and I love to travel and had been searching for the perfect getaway. Above all else, it had to be beautiful. But it also had to have plenty of opportunites to explore and relax. We found the perfect place in Medford & The Rogue Valley. It's in Southern Oregon, just a few miles over the California border, about halfway between San Francisco and Portland. It was the hidden gem we'd been looking for. --Emma

DAY 1

THE SISKIYOUS

Our journey to Medford began by crossing the beautiful Siskiyou Mountain Range. We made it to the summit just as the sun rose and we knew if this was a sign of things to come, we were in luck.

DOWNTOWN MEDFORD

Medford has the most charming downtown. Antique shops and coffehouses, boutique shopping and parks, food trucks and fountains. We could have spent all day there!

TABLE ROCK HIKE

Hiking Table Rock might have been my favorite part of the trip. It took us about 20 minutes to reach the top and when we did ... it was breathtaking. We had to take a moment to just sit down and take it all in.

DINNER ON THE PATIO

After our hike, we were starving! But luckily, Medford has tons of great restaurants. We found a great place called Porters. It used to be an old train station and has one of the most beautiful patios you've ever seen. So, of course, we had to have dinner outside.

DRINKS & DANCING

After dinner, we didn't think our night could get any better. But as we were walking back to the hotel, we passed an interesting little bar and they happened to have music playing. I'm so glad we stopped in! The music was awesome and we ended our evening with a cocktail and some dancing.
